Despotiko | Heritage Hotel Project in Pelion
Hotel Despotiko is a historic archontiko in Portaria, Pelion, operating today as a premium mountain hotel. Located beside the historic Krini of Papadiamandi, the property carries architectural and cultural weight within one of the most preserved villages of Mount Pelion.
The commission focused on documenting the hotel as a functioning property positioned for year-round operation. Architectural detail, interior atmosphere, and the relationship to the village fabric were recorded to reflect both heritage and contemporary guest expectations.

Our Approach
Rather than isolating decorative elements, we structured the coverage to communicate how the property is experienced ,scale of rooms, material character and connection to the surrounding mountain landscape.
The challenge was to translate authenticity into a format suitable for international hospitality platforms without diluting the identity of the archontiko. The result balances architectural integrity with the practical requirements of booking-oriented presentation.
