ABOUT THE PROJECT
OAKA Interior Architectural Project — Presidential Suite
The Presidential Suite at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens “Spyros Louis” was redesigned as part of a broader vision to modernize Greece’s most iconic sports complex. Located within the country’s largest athletic facility, the suite serves official functions and high-level guests, combining institutional protocol with contemporary design.
The renovation, led by a+architects, transformed the space into a refined environment that reflects modern Greek aesthetics. Embossed walnut wood, carefully selected materials and a restrained palette created a setting that balances elegance with functionality.

Creative Direction
The project focused on the balance of proportions, the transition between materials and the way surfaces interact with light. The warmth of walnut wood, the clean detailing and the controlled palette define the character of the suite without overpowering it.
The intention was not to dramatize the interior, but to present it in a natural way. The suite stands as a contemporary institutional space, precise and thoughtfully designed.
Presentation & Context
The renovated suite was officially presented in the presence of Deputy Minister of Sports, highlighting the role of private-sector support in strengthening public infrastructure. The project, realized through the collaboration of nine companies, marks a meaningful step toward the modernization of the Olympic Athletic Center.
Designed to host official events and high-level guests, the suite also contributes to the center’s sustainability by generating additional revenue. The architectural proposal received recognition in an Italian design competition, reinforcing the project’s broader international relevance.
This project is part of our Architectural and Interior projects and was widely covered by press as Site ΟΑΚΑ, Archetype, Οικονομικός Ταχυδρόμος, Πρώτο Θέμα and others.
