Callebaut Valentine’s Recipe Films
Michalis Karouzos | Valentine’s in Layers
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Two Valentine’s recipe films featuring pastry chefs Philippe Marand and Michalis Karouzos, created by Vice Versa for Callebaut Chocolate Academy.
The films follow the making of their seasonal pastries, bringing preparation, texture and finishing details into focus. Accompanying photographs extend the story through hands-on work, chocolate techniques and moments with the chefs.
Creative & Production Framework
We built each film around the progression from preparation to finished pastry. Close framing draws attention to the chefs’ hands, the handling of chocolate and the precision of assembly and decoration.
Chocolate hearts, pink and red accents, and graphic compositions connect the films to the wider Valentine’s campaign. The editing brings these elements together in short sequences that give both the process and the finished creations space on screen.
The photographs provide another view of the work, from piping cream and handling moulds to inspecting chocolate shells. Colour and black-and-white images highlight different aspects of the session, balancing material detail with the chefs’ presence.
Use & Positioning
Produced for online sharing through the Chocolate Academy network, the films supported Callebaut’s seasonal recipe communication. They offered inspiration to established pastry professionals and new chefs while showing creative applications of the brand’s products.
