Despotiko | Heritage Hotel Project in Pelion
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Hotel Despotiko is a historic archontiko in Portaria, Pelion, operating today as a mountain hotel. Located beside the historic Krini of Papadiamandi, the property retains a strong connection to the architectural character and village fabric of Mount Pelion.
The photography was commissioned to document the hotel as a working hospitality property, with attention to its architecture, interiors and the relationship between the building and its surroundings.
Production focus
Rather than isolating decorative details, the photography was structured around how the property is experienced as a whole the scale of the rooms, the material character of the interiors and the connection to the surrounding mountain landscape.
The approach aimed to preserve the identity of the archontiko while presenting the hotel clearly across contemporary hospitality channels.
Use & Communication
The final images were created for the hotel’s website, booking platforms and wider digital communication.
The set provides a consistent visual presentation of Hotel Despotiko, bringing together its heritage character, interiors and location in Portaria.
