Chrysalis Hotel Astypalaia | Boutique hotel project
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Chrysalis Hotel is a boutique hospitality project located on the island of Astypalaia, conceived as an intimate accommodation experience shaped by Dodecanese architectural character and a strong physical presence on the cliffs of Gialos.
The property combines thoughtful design with a relaxed island character, sitting naturally within the cliffs and landscape of Gialos.
Our photography and film focused on how the property is actually experienced, from interior atmosphere and material detail to its exterior presence and relationship with the surrounding landscape. The resulting imagery was created to support the hotel’s new visual identity and communication.
Commission & visual approach
The hospitality concept centres on simplicity, privacy and calm. Design decisions prioritise flow, proportion and comfort, creating spaces that feel relaxed and easy to inhabit. Our visual approach followed the same logic, using natural island light and restrained composition to reflect the rhythm and character of the property without exaggeration.
Positioning & Intent
The production was commissioned as part of the hotel’s rebranding and new-season launch. The photographs and film provided Chrysalis with a coherent set of new material for its website, booking platforms, social media and wider communication.
The aim was to present the hotel as it is today: a small, contemporary property with a strong connection to Astypalea and its setting.
This project is part of our hotel photography work, documenting boutique hospitality properties across Greece.
