Chocolate Carving Masterclass | Christophe Morel
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Christophe Morelis one of the best-known figures in contemporary chocolate sculpture, with a long career in professional pastry and international education.
This masterclass focused on his advanced carving techniques and the way he approaches chocolate as a sculptural material. Working inside the Chocolate Academy, the sessions gave participants direct access to his process, from structural planning and carving to the final refinement of the piece.
The Masterclass Environment
The challenge was to film the masterclass without turning it into simple event coverage.
We followed Morel closely through the carving process, concentrating on his hands, tools, decisions and the gradual transformation of the chocolate. The film was built around the concentration and precision of the work, allowing the process itself to carry the story.
Professional Presence & Use
The final film and photographs were created for Chocolate Academy communication and for Christophe Morel’s wider professional presence.
Beyond documenting the masterclass, the material shows the level of technique involved in advanced chocolate sculpture and gives a lasting record of a process that is usually experienced only by the participants in the room.
Part of our work with chefs, pastry professionals and culinary educators.
